Behind the Scenes at Rise Above
When you watch one of our shows it may appear that we saved up some money, bought a cool ramp, hired a few riders and then viola! A BMX show happened. There is actually A LOT more than that that goes into what we do. Producing 600+ events a year is no small task in any regard. The backbone of making this possible is our revolutionary ramp design and building technique. I build and design them all myself, using my patent-pending ramp design, so that they go up in a matter of minutes but ride as if you are in a world class skatepark, such as Woodward Camp. Well, that last statement wasn't entirely true, on our most recent rig my long time friend and licensed welding inspector 'Bise' helped me out a lot! And when I work I tend to start early and go late in the night so me and him had a couple all night welding and drilling parties along the way. If your reading this, thanks Bise, I owe ya buddy!!

Our smallest ramp is about the size of a mini-van so making them set up in a matter of minutes, yet small enough to fit through a single door to perform inside was no easy task. I took much careful and specific design work but now we have exceptional equipment that allows us to do some pretty cool stuff.
